ORKIDZ (Issam J) is a Moroccan/American multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ. His music is a reflection of his multiculturalism and his life experiences as a biologist, traveler and collector/student of traditional instruments and folklore music from around the world. His style combines tribal, organic and electronic elements blending ancient and modern sounds and weaving them into a warm psychedelic auditory tapestry spanning genres such as Organic House/ Downtempo/ Dub, Tribal & Afro House, Deep House and more. He has performed worldwide as a DJ and a live act and has released music with labels such as Sol Selectas, Cosmic Awakenings, House Music With Love, Lump Records and more. His music is in perpetual evolution as he strives to take listeners on new and exciting musical and spiritual journeys.
